The Australian Trade Commission has recognized the modular data center approach developed by Datapod in their latest Mining Equipment, Technology and Services sector capability report.
This industry capability statement provides an overview of Australian capability in the oil and gas sector, including examples of some of the many Australian companies with specialist expertise, including Datapod.
Australian companies have developed expertise across drilling technologies, geophysics software, pipeline construction materials and methods, engineering and design, and geotechnical and IT engineering and assessment, to advanced safety training, rehabilitation and facility management.
Datapod Director Scott Carr said, “This is great recognition for Datapod and other Australian METS sector providers. The Australian METS sector has been a leading global provider for a number of years and international companies are now actively looking to Australia to provide solutions globally. The Datapod System is a great example, we have assisted a number of METS sector companies in Australia to drive onsite productivity by providing an innovative modular data center solution that is easily transported and assembled on remote sites.”
Mr Carr adds, “This year we have experienced a surge in overseas interest in the Datapod product as overseas customers see the benefits of a flexible modular data center. The METS sector, government departments, private business and even special events like the Olympic Games and associated world cups are either now benefiting or could benefit from a modular data center solution.”
